Yazdani Studio recently took part in the 2024 DxD (Design by Diversity) Day, which was held on Saturday, April 13th. The annual event works like a block party, bringing together people of all ages, including students, parents, educators, professionals, and community members with the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry.

This past fall, the Yazdani Studio, along with Gruen Associates and builders Hensel Phelps participated in an invited competition to design a new US Courthouse in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The site for the project is located at the intersection of Broadway and 1st, one block West of the LA times building and a few blocks east of the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The Caltech Resnick Sustainability Institute was recently awarded an International Architecture Award in the Schools and Universities category.

The new campus, which spreads across a 40-acre site, encompasses 2.1 million SF of space housing more than 16,000 employees. Our design concept was inspired by the important role courtyards play in traditional Indian architecture, specifically the role they play in fostering community interactions. As such, the entire site—including the buildings themselves—is filled with courtyards, dynamic building scales framing the courtyards, and a diverse sequence of landscaped spaces.

Inspired by theater design, the OR 360 Simulation Lab is an operating room testing ground like no other. Designed in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense, Cedars-Sinai uses OR 360 to explore how to improve outcomes in trauma patients during the “golden hour”, the first hour of emergency medical treatment, when swift care is critical for survival.
