Ben Juckes: Pushing Boundaries Through Computational Design
It wasn’t until Ben Juckes moved from Australia to Los Angeles and began working at Yazdani Studio of CannonDesign that his interest in surfing turned into a career path in architecture and computational design. For Ben, the sports’ appeal was always more about the surfboard, the idea of manipulating its form to maximize its performance – the architecture of it all.

Mehrdad Yazdani Keynoted Academy of Neuroscience for Architecture Conference
Mehrdad Yazdani delivered the keynote presentation at the 2018 Academy for Neuroscience for Architecture (ANFA) conference at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA. Mehrdad focused his presentation on “The Design Process: A Conscious or Unconscious Act” and shared his thoughts on the convergence of design, health, neuroscience and more.

Contract Publishes Lassonde Studios
Contract has published University of Utah’s Lassonde Studios in its new education issue. The breakthrough entrepreneurial education building stacks four residential floors atop a 20,000 sf startup garage where students live, learn and launch companies. In just two years, the building has more than quadrupled the number of student startups on campus.
