Rene Perez Ignacio, Haisheng Xu, Dylan Hart, and David Quinn represented the Yazdani Studio at Sci-Arc’s Open Studio event.
The event was held on the campus of a former freight depot turned architecture school. The MArch and undergraduate students presented their recent design work to the architectural community. They showcased their concepts through physical models, colorful drawings, and stunning animations. The event provided an excellent opportunity for the community to unite in an open, casual environment and exchange ideas. The event was a mix of open dialogue, socializing, and scouting out some prospective recruits. We, along with various other architects from the Los Angeles area, talked with the students and professors. We were impressed by the rigor that some of the students put into their experimental processes, and we were often inspired by the quality of their graphical and narrative skills.
