On February 1, at an awards show hosted by AIA Pasadena & Foothill, it was announced that the Yazdani Studio will be receiving two design awards.
The first award is a merit award for our Resnick Sustainability Center at Caltech. The center is set to be completed this summer and will serve as a dynamic hub for research into the most pressing climate and sustainability challenges we face. The building will bring together experts from various fields, including physical sciences, life sciences, and engineering, in shared spaces with access to advanced instrumentation. By utilizing an immersive design process that relies on prototyping, the 80,000 square foot project, which spans five levels, builds on a major pedestrian path on campus.
The second honor was a citation award for Kaiser Permanente Bernard J Tyson School of Medicine. The 80,000 sf building enables Kaiser Permanente to leverage its unique culture, advance its preventative care model, implement a hands-on learning environment characterized by a collaborative approach to care giving, and strengthen its dedication to the communities it serves.
Thank you, AIA Pasadena & Foothill, for the recognition.
