Mehrdad Yazdani delivered the keynote presentation at the 2018 Academy for Neuroscience for Architecture (ANFA) conference at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, CA on Saturday, Sept. 22. Mehrdad focused his presentation on “The Design Process: A Conscious or Unconscious Act” and shared his thoughts on the convergence of design, health, neuroscience and more.
The ANFA exists to promote and advance knowledge that links neuroscience research to a growing understanding of human responses to the built environment. The Academy benefits from the expanding body of research that has evolved within the neuroscience community in the last two decades, and the promise of even more in the coming century. Observers have characterized what is happening in neuroscience as the most exciting frontier of human knowledge since the Renaissance. The ANFA hosts their conference every other year to mark this exciting research, share updates and advance new ideas.
