We’re proud to share Mehrdad Yazdani has been selected as a semifinalist in Curbed’s 2017 Groundbreakers awards, a competition that honors architects “who are making innovative work that’s changing the way the world functions.” Mehrdad is one of just 14 architects recognized by Curbed as part of this year’s awards program.
As a design principal of our national practice and the director of the Yazdani Studio of CannonDesign, Mehrdad practices at the intersection of the large office and the small studio. Named by Progressive Architecture as one of the world’s top emerging architects just three years after earning his Masters of Architecture, Mehrdad has garnered over 90 major design awards and publication in national and international journals. His recent work includes CJ Blossom Park, UCSD Health’s Jacobs Medical Center and University of Utah’s Lassonde Studios to name a few.
