The Southern California Development Forum (SCDF) awarded the Yazdani Studio two design awards for Claudia and Nelson Peltz Social Lab at the Museum of Tolerance Los Angeles and the Resnick Sustainability Center at Caltech.

The Social Lab was honored with a citation award in the Interior Architecture category. The Social Lab is an incredibly immersive 10,000-sf interactive gallery experience that builds on the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s (SWC) mission to inspire people to take action against racism, bigotry and anti-Semitism. The exhibit features 15 distinct spaces that bring the SWC’s remarkable content to life. The spaces promote tolerance and inclusion on different scales — starting with individual biases, to local issues, national conflicts and global crises — highlighting the interconnectivity.

The Resnick Sustainability Center (RSC) was also honored by SCDF with a citation award in the Unbuilt category. The RSC is set to be a breakthrough hub for critical research into our most pressing climate and sustainability challenges. The building will unite experts from across physical sciences, life sciences, and engineering disciplines in shared spaces with access to unparalleled instrumentation to advance novel solutions that extend beyond any single discipline.

We thank Southern California Development Forum for this great honor and for hosting a lovely event.
